Profile of Aishameglio, the Child of Duta Sheila On 7 Who is Now Following in His Father's Footsteps

Aishameglio, affectionately called Aisha, has performed several times as a backing vocalist in Sheila On7 concerts. According to Duta, his daughter's musical journey unfolds naturally.

"Yes, it just flows. It's not entirely from me, but coincidentally her uncles (Adam and Eros) invited her, and she was willing," said Duta when met in Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta, some time ago.

Although Aisha has started to feel the entertainment stage, Duta still emphasizes the importance of education. He ensures that music activities are only done in between his college commitments.

"For me, my child's main duty is still to study. Don't be like their father, who didn't go to college," he stated.   "So all this time, she participates in music only during her free time from college," he added.

There was an interesting moment when Aisha performed with her father. At that time, an audience member teased Aisha, and Duta 'scolded' the audience member jokingly. Even so, the audience's feelings were mixed, between happiness being greeted by their idol and nervousness.

After six years without new works, Sheila On 7 finally released a single titled Memori Baik. This song is special because it features a collaboration with Aisha, who has performed as a backing vocalist several times. The idea to involve Aisha in this song came from Eross, the guitarist of Sheila On 7.

"If Aisha didn't join the performance of Sheila On 7, this song might not have been released. So, because Aisha is involved," said Duta when met in Lebak Bulus, South Jakarta, on Monday (25/11/2024).

Duta emphasized that Aisha's involvement in this project must align with her college schedule. "If the schedule makes it so she can't take exams or anything, that option definitely won't be chosen. So the priority remains college," he said. Nevertheless, Duta gives Aisha the freedom to make decisions after fulfilling her obligations at campus. However, as a father, Duta admits he feels a certain pressure. "If anything, the real burden is actually as a parent, not as the vocalist of Sheila On 7," he said.  

Support from the band members also makes that burden feel lighter. Adam, who is also the manager of Sheila On 7, sees this collaboration as a valuable experience for Aisha. "As long as the band is happy, then go for it. She can gain work experience, and it's great that she can manage her time, so let's go," said Adam. 

From a professional standpoint, Duta revealed that Aisha is now starting to receive payments directly arranged by Adam. "If now it has started. It has come from my boss (Adam). In the beginning, her father was the one who paid," she said, then laughed.

Not only talented in singing, Aishameglio Duta Chiara is also a badminton athlete. According to the PBSI.id site, she is part of the Modjo Art of Badminton club in Sleman, Yogyakarta. It seems that Aisha's talent and spirit are not limited to music but also extend into the world of sports.
