Winning a Medal at the International Mathematical Olympiad, Jason Ranti's Child is Taught Discipline by Emulating Cristiano Ronaldo

Christopher Jacob Ranti, or Koko, the son of musician Jason Ranti, has just achieved a remarkable accomplishment at the Southeast Asian Mathematical Olympiad (SEAMO) X 2025. In the competition held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Koko successfully brought home a bronze medal.

This Olympiad was attended by thousands of participants from 22 countries, who are the top students from their respective nations. Previously, Koko participated in the preliminary stage in Indonesia and won a silver medal, which qualified him for the final round of SEAMO X. Read more below!

Koko's success certainly makes both of his parents proud. Jason Ranti himself feels amazed to see his son's achievements, which are very different from his own. "Jeje is very proud. Very different from Jeje. But indeed, when participating in that event, Jeje couldn't join because he had a performance in Solo," said Oline, Koko's mother when contacted by Kapanlagi.com, Monday (27/1/2025).

In raising Koko, Oline and Jason Ranti apparently apply a disciplined and structured parenting style. Olin admits that he always prepares a daily schedule for Koko, organized from the time he returns from school until bedtime.

"In educating, I do indeed create a schedule for Koko. From the time he comes home from school until bedtime. Jeje helps in enhancing Koko's literacy by reading books together with Koko," revealed Oline.

For Oline, having talent alone is not enough to achieve success. She believes that hard work and discipline are the main keys to honing abilities to develop further.

"Koko has indeed been taught discipline from a young age to value time. That receiving a gift or talent from God is one thing," she said.   "The most important thing is to hone abilities. Because Koko also enjoys playing soccer and is a fan of Cristiano Ronaldo, I like to use Cristiano Ronaldo as an example, that it is discipline that makes Ronaldo a great player," she continued.

In addition to excelling in academics, Koko is also active in playing soccer. He participates in the soccer extracurricular at school and is part of the U-9 team.   "Koko has several activities outside of school. At school, Koko's extracurricular is soccer and he is part of the U9 school soccer team. Outside of school, Koko also takes private soccer lessons and is enrolled in a soccer school," said Olin.

A structured schedule keeps all of Koko's activities balanced. In fact, his mathematical intelligence is evident when playing on the field. According to Olin, Koko started practicing soccer since the first grade of elementary school, when he was still 6 years old.

"Everything is balanced when there is a schedule that I mentioned above. Koko's intelligence is evident on the soccer field. Koko doesn't run fast, but his passing is often accurate, hahaha. Koko started soccer school when he was in the first grade at 6 years old. Now Koko is 7 years old," he concluded.
