1. Promoting Tourism in Bali

One of the tasks of Miss Universe Indonesia-Bali is to promote tourism in Bali. In response to this, Cecilia explained the challenges that Miss Universe Indonesia-Bali 2023 will face in promoting tourism in Bali.

"Bali is indeed famous for its tourism, and Bali is often dubbed as The Island Of Paradise, but since Covid-19 has hit the world, Bali is one of the areas that has been most affected," said Cecilia.

Cecilia continued, "Considering that most of its areas are tourist destinations, when Covid-19 emerged, Bali had to close most of its tourist attractions to comply with the government's health protocols. And that has become a major challenge in promoting Bali's tourism again," said Cecilia.

She then added, "With that, we invite cooperation from all sectors of Bali's tourism, both local and global, and also assistance from the government to further develop. To facilitate the entry of tourists into Indonesia, especially Bali, so that foreign tourists remain stable, and also the tourism sector in Bali works together to maintain the quality of service to attract domestic and international tourists to visit."

According to Cecilia, the most important thing is also how to strengthen the promotional sector to build a good image, making Bali the best destination in the world in terms of nature and culture, as well as through improving the quality of tourism management in a professional manner.

2. Self-Improvement Towards Miss Universe Indonesia 2023

Besides promoting Bali tourism, Cecilia also explained that Miss Universe Indonesia-Bali will undergo a series of self-improvement programs. The goal is to prepare Putu Chelsea to compete with other candidates in Miss Universe Indonesia 2023.

Not only that, Miss Universe Indonesia-Bali will also carry out several movements that can motivate Balinese women to compete globally. These movements are done to show the women empowerment aspect carried by Miss Indonesia-Bali.

In the same opportunity, Cecilia also mentioned the progress of other provinces in preparing representatives for Miss Universe Indonesia at the provincial level. As for the Provincial Miss Universe Indonesia license holders in 2023, there are 3 provinces, namely East Java, Bali, and West Java.

"In East Java province itself, they have held the grand final on June 18, 2023, and have obtained 3 representatives to advance to Miss Universe Indonesia, and as for the progress of West Java province, they will hold the grand final on July 1, 2023, in Bandung," she explained.

In addition, Cecilia also explained the concrete steps for the future of Miss Universe Indonesia, especially in preserving and promoting tourism in the homeland. "The concrete steps that Miss Universe Indonesia takes to preserve and promote tourism are by continuously innovating and seeking investors in Indonesia, because the regional economy will stagnate if it only relies on the government," she concluded.
