Rachel Oldham Filmed for 8 Months for the Soap Opera 'MAGIC 5', Willing to Sacrifice Playtime for New Knowledge

Kapanlagi.com - Artist Rachel Oldham has just completed filming the soap opera Magic 5, a valuable experience that she believes is full of lessons and challenges. During approximately eight months of filming, the 17-year-old actress gained a lot of new knowledge, even though she had to give up playtime with her friends.

Playing the role of Mawar in the soap opera, Rachel received an antagonist character that she found quite challenging. She feels lucky to be involved in a project that has reached hundreds of episodes.

"I just finished the soap opera Magic 5 and thank God I got hundreds of episodes and I got to meet new friends. There are so many lessons I learned in Magic 5, like a really new experience for me," said Rachel Oldham.

1. Portray Mawar, the Antagonistic Village Girl

In the soap opera Magic 5, Rachel plays the role of Mawar, a village girl who is part of a school gang called The Hebrings. This role forces her out of her comfort zone as she has to portray an antagonistic character who often engages in mischief.

Rachel admits that playing an antagonistic character has given her a new experience in the acting world. Although Mawar's character is very different from her real-life self, she feels challenged to bring the character to life to the fullest.

"I play as Mawar. Mawar is a village girl but she plays the role of an antagonist and is part of a naughty and mischievous group at school called The Hebrings," she explained.

2. Missing Playtime Due to a Busy Schedule

Filming the soap opera Magic 5 for a full eight months is not an easy task for Rachel. The busy schedule has made her sacrifice playtime with her peers. Nevertheless, the fatigue is compensated by new experiences and friendships she has formed on set.

"I’m not tired, it’s just that there’s no time to play with friends because I’ve been shooting Magic 5 for a full 8 months, so I have less rest," Rachel revealed.

"But it’s still fun because I have many new friends," she added.

3. Fill the Void with FTV Shooting and Endorsements

After the soap opera Magic 5 finished, Rachel did not immediately take a full rest. She chose to fill her free time with various other activities in the entertainment world.

For Rachel, maintaining her existence in the entertainment world is important. Therefore, she utilizes her free time between soap opera projects to continue creating.

"While waiting for my latest soap opera, I fill the void by doing FTV and working on my endorsements," said the girl born on March 26, 2008.

4. Prepare Yourself to Dive into the Business World

Although she is currently enjoying her career in the entertainment world, Rachel realizes that the entertainment industry cannot be relied upon forever. Therefore, she is starting to think about plans to dive into the business world.

"Next, I will study business so that my money can grow hehe because the entertainment world isn't forever. So I also need to be able to do business and save for my future," she said.

5. Make Time for Education

Rachel plans to study business gradually. She hopes that the business she will run in the future can serve as a safety net when her activities in the entertainment world decrease.

In addition to being busy in the entertainment world, Rachel also continues her education. She tries to divide her time between shooting schedules, endorsements, and school. Although it's not easy, she believes that education remains a priority amidst her busy life in the entertainment industry
