Annoyed by the news that corners them, Raffi Ahmad and Hotman Paris have started to inventory social media accounts that spread vile slander. They plan to take legal action against those who accuse without evidence.

Hotman Paris emphasized that this smuggling issue has been sensationalized to the extent that it harms his client's reputation. He believes there are parties who deliberately exploit this issue for political gain or simply to gain followers on social media.

Raffi Ahmad himself is actually the type of person who is forgiving, but this time he feels he must take a firm stance. Moreover, his current position is related to a state institution that must be upheld in dignity.

"Our main target is people with mental illness in Indonesia or those who want to have many followers like Hotman and Raffi," said Hotman Paris, the lawyer for Raffi Ahmad in the Wijaya area, South Jakarta, Thursday (11/6/2026).

"Those who want to increase their followers create social media like that, and of course, part of it is political motivation from political opponents. That is what we will look for!" emphasized Hotman Paris Hutapea.

Raffi further explained that the photo circulating in front of the Blueray store is not proof of a transaction. The photo is just a form of his friendliness when asked to take a picture by Indonesians in New York.
