Raisa and Hamish Daud Both Absent at the First Divorce Hearing

Puguh Putra Lubis, the legal representative of Raisa, confirmed that the defendant, Hamish Daud, was absent from today’s court summons. As a result, the panel of judges decided to reschedule the hearing.

"So, today’s agenda according to the conference schedule is a summons for the parties. Today we are present as the legal representatives of the plaintiff. Oh, but the defendant was not present. Therefore, the next court session is postponed to summon the defendants again," said Puguh Putra Lubis at the South Jakarta Religious Court on Monday (3/11/2025).

Regarding Raisa's absence, Puguh explained that his client has granted full authority to the legal team. Therefore, Raisa's presence in court is not mandatory as long as she is represented.

"Yes, it has indeed been authorized to us. If the concerned party is absent, that is indeed our function, but we are less informed about the activities," he explained.

The court will once again issue a summons to Hamish Daud for the next hearing. The continuation of the session with the same agenda, which is mediation, is scheduled to take place in two weeks.

"Later on, in the course of things, we will communicate every update on the radius, but in principle, it has been authorized and represented. We'll just have to see how it goes at the conference later," said Puguh.

The continuation of the divorce hearing between Raisa and Hamish Daud will be held again on Monday, November 17, 2025.

The presence of both principals is highly recommended by the panel of judges, especially for the smoothness of the mediation process. "The next agenda is still the call of the parties," he concluded.
