Witness Ahmad Assegaf Confirms the Grounds for Tasya Farasya's Divorce Petition

However, there was a moment when the witness presented actually provided testimony that was considered beneficial to Tasya Farasya's side, during the hearing held at the South Jakarta Religious Court on Tuesday (29/10/2025).

The closed hearing aimed to listen to the testimony from Ahmad Assegaf's side to refute the divorce petition filed. The defendant presented two witnesses, namely Ahmad Assegaf's cousin and a staff member from the house construction operations team.

1. Testimony Fails to Refute Plaintiff's Arguments

According to the legal team of Tasya Farasya, Sangun Ragahdo and Fattah Riphat, the testimony failed to refute their arguments. Instead of denying, the witness's statement is considered to strengthen the reasons behind their client's divorce lawsuit.

"Usually, the defendant's evidence is meant to deny our claims, but today it actually strengthens our position," said Sangun Ragahdo after the trial.

2. Indirectly Validates the Core Issues

Sangun explained that the witness presented indirectly validated several points that are at the core of the issues in his client's household. This made Tasya's legal team even more confident in the strength of the lawsuit they have filed.

"We see that even their own witness validated the issues at hand. In fact, that admission only strengthens our conviction," he said.

3. Witness from the House Construction Operations Side

Another surprise came from the presence of a witness from the house construction operations side. Fattah Riphat suspected that this witness was presented as an effort by the defendant to respond to one of the points in the lawsuit, even though it was considered not entirely relevant.

"They are trying, trying to answer. So they are trying to respond to what we are suing, what we are alleging, they are trying to answer," explained Fattah Riphat.

4. Does Not Touch the Main Substance of the Divorce

Nonetheless, Sangun Ragahdo reiterated that the essence of his client's lawsuit is not about the house construction issue. The presence of the witness was also considered an interesting matter, but it does not touch on the main substance of the divorce.

"But what is interesting is that our lawsuit is actually not about the house, right? Only what is presented, well this is the right of the defendant," said Sangun.

5. Trial Enters Final Stage

After this evidence agenda, the trial process will enter the final stage, which is the submission of conclusions from both parties before the panel of judges delivers a verdict. The Tasya Farasya side is also optimistic about facing this final chapter.

"We will refute their witness statements in the conclusions later. But from our perspective, the evidence and testimonies presented today are already sufficient to strengthen the claims," concluded Fattah.
