Raisa Can't Wait to Find 'Hidden Gem' at Gimme The Mic 2024

Kapanlagi.com-Three great Indonesian musicians, Budi Doremi, Raisa, and Eka Gustiwana, have been appointed as judges in the Gimme The Mic 2024 event created by TikTok LIVE. They all agree that this event will be a moment to find 'hidden gems'.

This was conveyed by Raisa, which was then agreed upon by Budi Doremi and Eka Gustiwana in a virtual press conference held on Thursday (18/7). Raisa also feels happy to have the opportunity to be a judge.

"I want to find hidden gems from all over Indonesia," said Raisa.

Eka Gustiwana added that he feels honored to be a judge in this event. As we know, Eka Gustiwana is known through social media and has become one of the great musicians in Indonesia.

"For me, this is an honor, I was born from social media. This event is a perfect platform, and I see it as a way to discover new talents freely," Eka Gustiwana emphasized.

Meanwhile, Budi Doremi, who was also a judge last year, admitted that he can't wait to see the quality and enthusiasm of this year's participants. Last year alone, there were 28,000 participants.

"The 'Gimme The Mic' competition last year was concrete evidence of how TikTok LIVE successfully opened opportunities for everyone across Indonesia to interact, showcase their talents, and be discovered by us, professionals in the music industry. From the 28,000 participants who joined last year, we managed to find a number of incredible music talents who have enlivened the domestic music industry with their works." This year, we are ready to discover new stars who are expected to bring a fresh color to the Indonesian music industry," said Budi Doremi.

The 'Gimme The Mic' 2024 competition, which will run from July 15th to September 22nd, 2024, will be divided into three stages: registration, semi-finals, and grand finals.Participants will be selected based on the judges' evaluations and voting points.Meanwhile, the elimination round will be conducted through a series of LIVE shows on TikTok using the multi-guest feature.The six selected finalists who successfully pass will undergo a quarantine period in Jakarta to receive intensive training with professionals in the music industry. The six finalists will then be challenged to showcase their talents live at the Grand Final concert "Gimme The Mic" 2024 on September 22, 2024.

Four winners will receive exciting prizes, including cash and the opportunity to represent Indonesia in the global competition "Gimme The Mic" along with winners from other countries. What's even more exciting, this year's "Gimme The Mic" competition winner will have the opportunity to record and release a single created by Eka Gustiwana with TikTok LIVE and SoundOn, which will then be promoted globally.

Last year, the winner of "Gimme The Mic" 2023 from North Sulawesi, Faren Yokung, represented Indonesia in the grand final of "Gimme The Mic 2023" at the global level and received the "Most Improve: Rising Star" award in that global event.
