Guitarist Bayu Randu Brings Prison Of Blues Touring Europe, Performing at the World's Largest Psychobilly Festival in Spain

Kapanlagi.com - Success seems to always accompany musician and music producer Bayu Randu. The eccentric guitarist, who is now a member of Prison Of Blues, was invited to perform at the world's largest Psychobilly concert called 'Psychobilly Meeting'.

The event will be held in Santa Suzana, Barcelona, Spain on July 2-9, 2024, and it also marks the 30th anniversary of the Psychobilly Meeting event.

They will share the stage with legendary Psychobilly bands such as Mad Sin, Nekromantix, Demented Are Go, The Rumjack, King Kurt, and others.

Prison of Blues is the first band from Southeast Asia to be invited to perform at this international event in Spain.

"It is truly an honor for me personally and of course for the band as well, to be trusted to be part of the great lineup of the Psychobilly Meeting event that will be held in the historic city of Barcelona, Spain. Especially since our band was born in the small town of Temanggung, so this is an extraordinary opportunity to perform in Europe," said Bayu Randu in Jakarta, Thursday (4/7/24).

Furthermore, Bayu added that the pride was multiplied because Prison Of Blues became the first band from Indonesia to perform at the Psychobilly Meeting event.

Prison Of Blues itself is a Psychobilly band that was born in a small tobacco-producing town, Temanggung, Central Java - Indonesia.

The band was formed in 2007 with the initial personnel of Bowo, Ndaru, Baskoro, and Anto, and then Aal joined with the Upright Bass replacing Baskoro.

Until 2024, this band that presents Indonesian horror themes has released 4 singles and 12 physical albums that were released in Indonesia and also released specifically in Europe.

In addition to Bowo on vocals and Aal as an original band member, on this European tour, Prison Of Blues introduces 2 new members, Bayu Randu on guitar, who often plays with Funky Kopral and is also a producer for Funky Kopral, Edane, and Prison Of Blues.

On drums, it is entrusted to a drummer with a distinctive ethnic Nusantara style, “Endy Baroque”, who plays in Sirkus Barock/Sawung Jabo and also the legendary band Kantata Barock.

According to Bayu Randu, in addition to being invited to the Psychobilly Meeting in Santa Susanna, Spain on July 2-9, 2024, Prison of Blues also received invitations to perform at 2 other festivals in Germany.

“Not only in Spain, me and Prison of Blues also received invitations to perform at 2 other festivals in Germany, namely the Storfaktor Festival and the Crazy Dayz Festival. We will share the stage with bands from Germany, Portugal, Mexico, Austria, and other countries,” continued Bayu.

3. Famous Bands Together

For your information, the Crazy Dayz Festival itself is held in the city of Cham, Germany, for two days. The festival, held on July 12 and 13, 2024, features bands from various genres.

Some of the bands that will perform at the festival include Psycho dad (Heavy Metal Covers - Germany), Freddy Locks (Reggae - Portugal), Heischneida (Bavarian Rock, Ska, Funk, Gypsy Blues - Bavaria), Ace Kool (Hardcore - Mexico), Deadbeatz (Blues Punk - Austria), and Prison Of Blues (Psychobilly - Indonesia).

Prison Of Blues itself will be in Europe for approximately 3 weeks and will perform in 15 smaller gigs in various cities in Europe. This tour is supported by the Ministry of Education and Culture and the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy.
