Raisa Cries While Performing a Song for Her Daughter at Showcase

Kapanlagi.com - After two years due to the Covid-19 pandemic, singer Raisa finally held her mini concert entitled 'Raisa It's Personal Showcase' at Tennis Indoor Senayan, Jakarta, on Sunday (15/5).

Raisa admitted that she was very happy to finally meet her fans again. Therefore, she wanted to enjoy every moment of the showcase.

"I was so nervous. I woke up early because of the nerves, but when I got up here, thank you to my friends who came here. I will enjoy this moment by chatting and sharing stories. I don't understand how we could go two years without a concert," said Raisa when greeting her fans.

1. Performing 18 Songs

Raisa performed around 18 songs in the showcase. Starting from the songs in her first album to her latest album IT'S PERSONAL.

Among them are Serba Salah, Could It Be, Jangan Cepat Berlalu, Ragu, Kutukan, Bahasa Kalbu, You, Someday, Jatuh Hati, Usai Di Sini, Apalah Arti Menunggu, Mantan Terindah, Kali Kedua, and Berdamai.

2. Song for Her Daughter

However, of all the songs she sings, there is one song that is very emotional for Raisa titled Jangan Cepat Berlalu (Don't Pass By Quickly). The song was indeed created by Raisa for her daughter, Zalina Raine Wyllie.

"The album IT'S PERSONAL is super duper baper (Indonesian slang for emotional). Especially this one song, the most meaningful song. This song is my creation for my bestie named Zalina. I thought I was going to teach her a lot of things, but it turned out that she taught me a lot of things," said Raisa.

"I think she is a manifestation of time. We spend time on our careers and everything, but sometimes when we have achieved it, we forget about time. Now I'm trying to live as slowly as possible. She was originally in my stomach, then she came out unable to do anything, time kept passing, she could walk, run, and then we could talk. I just realized that time passes quickly," she continued.

3. Unable to Hold Back Tears

Raisa said that from the beginning of writing the lyrics, recording, and until the song was released, she always cried.

"Alhamdulillah (Thank God) I was able to get the gift of writing this song. Learning about true love. From writing it while crying to performing it while crying. Thank you very much for enjoying this song," said the wife of Hamish Daud.

True enough, in the middle of the song, Raisa was unable to hold back her tears. She turned around to calm her emotions. But in the end, Raisa successfully finished the song well.

The atmosphere became even more emotional when the song ended. A conversation between Raisa and Zalina appeared, making the audience also emotional.
