Kapanlagi.com - The Halilintar family or Gen Halilintar has not yet carried out the sentence imposed by the Supreme Court to pay compensation of IDR 300 million to PT. Nagaswara as the publisher of the song 'Lagi Syantik' popularized by Siti Badriah.
Representing Gen Halilintar, Jejen Zaenudin from Gen Halilintar management, who held a press conference in Jakarta on Thursday (2/6/2022), explained the reason.
He said that until now, Gen Halilintar is still waiting for the official execution letter of the Supreme Court's decision, which will be issued by the Central Jakarta Commercial Court.

Because they do not know whether the compensation will be in the form of money or other forms equivalent to IDR 300 million.
"Until now, there has been no official notification, so we are still waiting for the next steps. Because we do not know the form of the compensation yet. We have not received any official information about it," said Jejen.

Suyud Margono, an expert in intellectual property, who was also present at the press conference, said that the Supreme Court's decision ordered Gen Halilintar to compensate for moral rights, not immaterial ones. So, according to him, the compensation in question is not like a debt agreement.
"Because the amount of 300 million is not like a debt. 300 million must be paid finally," said Suyud Margono.
As is known, in 2018, PT Nagaswara sued Gen Halilintar in the Central Jakarta District Court for allegedly changing the lyrics of the song Lagi Syantik, and producing and commercializing it without permission on YouTube.
At the District Court level up to cassation, the Court rejected Nagaswara's lawsuit.
However, when applying for a Judicial Review, on December 21, 2021, the Supreme Court declared Gen Halilintar guilty and sentenced them to pay Rp. 300 million to Nagaswara.
