Release of Single 'Aku Tak Mau Sendiri', Jikustik Invites the Deaf Community to Collaborate

Kapanlagi.com - After an eight-year hiatus, Jikustik returns to the Indonesian music industry. However, in mid-July, Icha Aji (Icha Jikustik) and friends released a song titled Puisi which is a recycled version of one of their popular works.

The release of this old song with a new arrangement marks Jikustik's comeback and serves as an opening for their upcoming mini album titled BACK 4 GOOD. In addition to Puisi, three other songs will be released every month from July to October.

1. Campaign #MusicForAll

Exactly one month after Puisi (Poem), Jikustik released their second single titled Aku Tak Mau Sendiri (I Don't Want to Be Alone). On this special occasion, the band from Yogyakarta invited the public to participate in the #MusicForAll campaign.

"We believe that art enthusiasts come from diverse backgrounds in various aspects. With this approach, we hope that every piece of work can be felt by all groups and ensure that everyone has the opportunity to access it," said Adhitya Bagaskara (Adit Jikustik), the keyboardist of Jikustik, as quoted from a text message received by KapanLagi.com.

2. Collaboration with Deaf Friends

Jikustik conducted the campaign by collaborating with the deaf community. Apart from providing an inclusive space for the deaf to listen to music, it also fosters solidarity in society.

"In addition to providing space for the deaf community to enjoy the latest songs together, Jikustik also invites the wider community to support the deaf community through the #MusicForAll movement," said Ayunda Kusmiya Putri, who plays the role of a Mentor and Sign Language Expert in this collaboration.
