Reluctant to Pursue a Master's Degree, Marco, Diah Permatasari's Son, Chooses to Work Directly in Indonesia

The youngest son of Diah Permatasari, Marco, who is currently pursuing his bachelor's degree abroad, has just returned to Indonesia to enjoy his vacation. Who would have thought that, despite many celebrity children choosing to continue their education to the master's level, Marco has different plans.

Marco emphasizes that he wants to jump straight into the working world in his home country. His decision to settle in Indonesia is firm. He does not limit himself to working in the entertainment industry like his mother, as he is also open to opportunities in corporate environments.

It's not without reason, Marco actually wants to start his professional career soon. "As for pursuing a master's degree, honestly, I haven't thought about it. My plan after graduating from my bachelor's degree is to go straight to work here. Whether it's in the entertainment world or an office job, it doesn't matter, as long as it's in Indonesia," Marco said when met in the Tendean area of South Jakarta, Friday (29/05/2026).

Besides his career, Marco is also highlighted for his lifestyle on social media. Unlike his peers who often upload many photos, Marco's Instagram looks quiet or has zero posts. Diah Permatasari explained that her son considers this as part of the aesthetic values of today's youth.

"Actually, when he was little, he often posted photos with Mom. Now all of them have been archived. For him, it's cool if there are few posts but many followers. His older brother is the same way," said Diah Permatasari.

Regarding love affairs, Marco surprisingly revealed his criteria for an ideal woman. He honestly hopes that his future partner will not have a personality that is too nagging. Marco admitted that he sometimes feels stressed when he has to face complaints at home.

"Maybe don't be too nagging, okay? Sometimes it makes me stressed, especially when I just wake up and suddenly Mom comes into the room and talks at length about this and that," Marco stated.

Diah Permatasari herself does not want to worry about the criteria for a son-in-law for now. She realizes that Marco is still very young, at just 19 years old. For her, Marco's future is still very long, and she allows her child to live a life that makes him happy.

"Marco is still young, 19 years old. The journey to marriage is still very long. What’s important now is that Marco is happy, and Mama will definitely be happy too," concluded Diah Permatasari.
