Dike Sabrina Reveals Stage Makeup Secrets, Turns Out She Once Failed at Makeup

Dike Sabrina shared her makeup habits when she met the KapanLagi team at Gedung Trending, Kediri, on Tuesday, May 26, 2026. This young dangdut singer admitted to having a special ritual before going on stage to ensure her appearance is at its best.

In this casual conversation, Dike Sabrina discussed her favorite makeup parts, experiences of failing at makeup, and the songs she often listens to while preparing to perform. She also revealed the reason she feels more comfortable doing her own makeup rather than hiring a makeup artist.

As an active dangdut singer, Dike Sabrina believes that appearance is one of the important aspects that must be considered. According to her, makeup is not just about looking beautiful, but also about feeling confident when performing in front of an audience.

Dike Sabrina admits that the eye area is the most important part when it comes to stage makeup. Eyeshadow and eyebrows must be on point because the eyes are the first thing people notice. "Eyes. The eye area. Because, you know, when people do makeup, what they look at is definitely the eyes. So from the eyeshadow to the eyebrows, it all has to be on point," she said.

But who would have thought, this beautiful dangdut singer has actually experienced makeup failures before performing due to losing focus. The tight situation made her a bit confused while getting ready.

"I have definitely experienced that. So, a makeup failure before a performance is definitely triggered by something. One, like our mood changes. Secondly, it’s like we’re not focused. When it’s time to do the eyebrows, what are we doing? When it’s time to grab the lipstick, what do we grab? That has happened. Yeah, it’s kind of funny but also stressful. So, what do you do? Just stay relaxed, right?" she said.

Dike Sabrina herself feels more comfortable doing her own makeup compared to being made up by someone else. According to her, not all makeup styles necessarily suit her face. "If I choose to do my own makeup. Because if someone else does it, it might not suit my face. You know, the hands of MUAs are different as well. So I think I feel comfortable doing my own makeup," said Dike.

Another fun fact, Dike Sabrina prefers listening to sad songs rather than upbeat music while getting ready to perform. The song "Apik" by Happy Asmara is one of her favorites. According to Dike Sabrina, a calm atmosphere makes the makeup result neater. She avoids rushing to keep her appearance flawless on stage.

"When I do my makeup, I definitely listen to sad songs. So that the makeup feels calmer, more what can I say. So actually it's not dangdut, it's more ambyar. So one of the songs by Kak Happy titled Apik. That one is more towards sad, right. It's really suitable to accompany my makeup. It makes it slow, you know. So the makeup becomes relaxed, not rushed at all," said Dike.

Dike Sabrina feels that maintaining her appearance is much harder than maintaining her stamina. She admits that stamina can still be aided by vitamins or infusions before performing.

"It's hard to maintain appearance. Because we don't want to be the ones whose appearance is highlighted. For stamina, we can drink vitamins. Before performing, we can get an infusion. That's it," she concluded.
