Rendy Kjaernett Clarification on the Origin of the Viral Photo with Bella Lopulisa, A Regular Moment After Service

When met in the Sedayu area, East Jakarta, on Wednesday (23/7/2025), Rendy explained that such photos are usually taken after he finishes his service at the church.

"Actually, it's just like this, after the service, and if someone asks for a photo, it seems like it’s not just one or two people who ask for a photo, right?" said Rendy Kjaernett.

He feels it’s strange if every photo he takes with the opposite sex is always interpreted as a forbidden relationship. For him, accommodating photo requests from the congregation is part of his interaction as a public figure and also a servant in the church.

"So if it’s said like this... look, if every time after this, every girl who has ever asked for a photo, what should I do, sorry," he continued with a tone of regret.

Rendy added that he can meet and take photos with anyone, anywhere, and not all of them have special meaning. He considers this issue to be overly exaggerated from a moment that was actually very ordinary.

Lady Nayoan, his wife, also added that if we look at the clothes being worn, it is likely that the photo was taken during a celebration of a major holiday like Christmas, where many people gather and take photos together.

"What I remember is that when Rendy is wearing batik, it means we are, I mean, dressed formally, that usually means we are serving," Lady remarked.

With this explanation, Rendy hopes the public will no longer misinterpret the photo and understand that his interaction with Bella Lopulisa was merely that of a congregation member asking for a photo together. /aal
