Kapanlagi.com - Nikita Mirzani has been detained at the South Jakarta Metro Police Detention Center since Friday morning (31/1) yesterday. She was detained due to a report by her ex-husband, Dipo Latief.

Based on the release circulating among the media, Dipo Latief reported Nikita Mirzani in July 2018 because the sensational artist threw an ashtray at him after getting angry. The throw caused bruises and scratches on his forehead.

Nikita is charged with article 351 of the Indonesian Penal Code (KUHP) in conjunction with article 355 of the KUHP. The mother of three is facing a sentence of two years and eight months for minor injuries and five years if her actions result in serious injuries.

It took a year and a half for the case file of Nikita Mirzani's assault to be transferred to the Prosecutor's Office next Monday (3/2) so that the trial can start immediately. So, what makes the process so long?

"The process can be long because the collection of evidence also takes time and effort. Sometimes there are obstacles in the process. However, we are grateful to our colleagues in the prosecutor's office who conducted a thorough investigation, so our file was declared complete," said AKBP Irwan Susanto, the Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of South Jakarta Metro Police, when interviewed by the media.

2. Feeling Doing the Right Thing

During her detention, it was revealed that Nikita remained calm. She firmly believed that what she did to Dipo was the right thing to do as a wife at that time.

"Earlier, we had a normal conversation. It means she was calm, no problem at all. For her, this is not a big issue, extraordinary things, or dangerous cases. It means she holds the principle of truth, that she did not do anything wrong. According to Niki, it is not an event or a dangerous case," said Fahmi Bachmid, her lawyer, after visiting his client.

"This person is making a fuss, especially since they were married. For her, it's like 'I am defending my truth'. If someone defends their truth, I have to respect that. Niki is confident that she did not do anything dishonorable," concluded the bespectacled man.
