It turns out, Rina didn't know that Latuconsina is a clan name. She even thought that Prilly's last name still had an additional name.

"Yes, I was also surprised when I found out there was a reprimand about this, beyond my expectations and knowledge. Because I didn't know at all that Latuconsina is a clan name. Because the only Latuconsina name I know is just Prilly Latuconsina. In fact, I thought Prilly Latuconsina's last name was like a mixed foreign name. So it's purely out of my ignorance, and both of us (Andre Taulany)," said Rina when contacted via WhatsApp, Monday, (18/5).

1. Prilly's Family Has Already Forgiven

Rina also emphasized that she did not intentionally degrade the family name or ethnicity. "There was absolutely no intention or purpose to degrade or insult. Especially if I knew it was a family name or ethnicity, I would never do it," explained Rina.

"This time, I was truly surprised by the anger of the Latuconsina family. Because all this time, I myself have been someone who strongly rejects any form of insult or belittlement in comedy, especially when it involves a larger region or ethnicity. I have long abandoned the style of comedy that involves physical mockery, considering it inappropriate. I even avoid jokes that mock the lives of artists. I am very cautious and responsible every time I speak or deliver humor in public," she continued.

2. Surprised

From this case, Rina then learned about the surnames from Maluku. She doesn't want to mispronounce names anymore like what just happened.

"That's why I was really surprised by this incident. I immediately looked up the history of the Latuconsina name in Indonesia. The history of surnames in Maluku. Are there any specific names that I may have mispronounced without knowing their origins," Rina wrote.

3. Rina Nose Apologizes

Rina herself has already apologized directly to Prilly and her family regarding this incident. She is grateful because Prilly's family is very wise and has forgiven her.

"I am thankful and highly appreciate it. Even my apology has also been conveyed by Prilly's family to the offended parties. For that, I express my heartfelt gratitude to Prilly and her family," she wrote.

Rina will also apologize to all the Latuconsina surname owners and the people of Ambon and Maluku. "Currently, I am also preparing a narration to make a video of a direct apology. And to all the related communities, especially the Ambon/Maluku community, the owners of that surname, I, we deeply regret and sincerely apologize for this incident. I understand and comprehend that disappointment. I would also feel the same if I were in your position. This is our carelessness with all our limited knowledge," she concluded.
