The news of the wedding of Anji Manji with a woman named Desmiliana Ariyana alias Desy on Sunday, May 24, 2026, surprised the public. Many netizens thought the wedding was held suddenly because there were almost no signs of major preparations on social media. However, this news was immediately clarified by Anji's close friend, Jhon LBF.

According to Jhon, Anji had informed his circle of friends about this wedding plan long ago. Every detail, from
the selection of the location at his private residence to choosing a beautiful date as the basis for the dowry value, was meticulously prepared by the former vocalist of Drive.

The reason this wedding seemed sudden to the public is that Anji indeed wanted an intimate event, or one that was only for a limited circle. This was done to avoid excessive crowds and to keep the sacred moment warm within the closest family environment.

"For me, it’s not sudden because we have been informed well in advance. The date was also communicated to me long before," said Jhon LBF when met at Anji's residence in Cibubur, East Jakarta, on Sunday (24/05/2026).

Although Anji has the ability to throw a lavish and grand party, he prefers simplicity. This decision was made based on personal considerations with Desy, who also wanted a not too formal and rigid atmosphere. Only about 50 to 100 people received the special invitation.

"It is indeed very private due to several considerations, and that is what Anji and Desy agreed upon to carry out their marriage contract without any celebration. In front of the officiant, in front of witnesses, guardians, everything is just enough there," said Jhon.

Regarding the leaked photos of Anji holding a marriage certificate on social media, Jhon explained that it happened spontaneously. Some guests accidentally went live, causing this happy news to spread to the public faster than Anji himself had anticipated.

"Yes, you know, bringing friends, some of them forgot to go live, because someone went live, so I posted the photo with the marriage certificate, and it spread anyway. The point is, they didn’t want to hide this happy news; they wanted this event to be truly sacred, warm among close family," explained Jhon LBF.

Anji is currently still focused on enjoying time alone with his new wife. Regarding honeymoon plans, although he has received many offers for luxurious villas from his friends, Anji admits he is still looking for the right time due to his busy schedule in the music world, having just released his latest song.

"Earlier I had a chance to ask, but they said not yet. He agreed but didn’t know the timing. I said 'Let’s prepare it for tomorrow,' he said 'It seems like tomorrow won’t work, Bro, but I’m okay with it,'" concluded Jhon LBF.
