Ria Ricis Reveals Nose Surgery to Address Crooked Bone

Behind the news of the plastic surgery that Ria Ricis underwent, there is actually a serious medical reason. Ricis disclosed that she has suffered from a deformity in the structure of her nose bone that has caused breathing issues for years.

Before deciding on surgery, Ricis had already undergone a thorough medical examination. Radiology results showed a blockage in the airway due to uneven bone positioning.

"Indeed, I had checked at RSCM before, I had gone through... what is it, entered radiology or whatever, I’m not sure. I had also been checked and it turns out the bone is crooked, bent to the left. Because if it’s bent to the left, it can block the airway," said Ria Ricis when met in the Cilandak area, South Jakarta, Wednesday (27/5/2026).

This health issue has made Ricis very dependent on hard drugs for the past five years. She admitted to often using nasal spray excessively just to be able to breathe easily every day.

"I used to use a medication called Iliadin. If my friends know about Iliadin, it is a strong medication. And even now it's hard to find anywhere. I used to use it 4 to 5 times a day, when it should only be used once a day for 5 days. But I used Iliadin for 5 consecutive years," Ricis revealed.

Through rhinoplasty procedures, the medical team performed repairs by scraping and cutting the problematic bone parts. The doctor also added material from the rib bone to straighten her nasal structure.

"The line was closed, then it was repaired yesterday, scraped, cut, and then filled again with ribs, and also raised," he said.

Now, Ricis feels very grateful because the surgery provided two benefits at once. Besides getting a more prominent nose shape, she can now breathe normally without the help of medication.

"Got aesthetics as well, can breathe too, alhamdulillah," concluded Ricis.
