The Body of Ricky Seringai is Likely to Arrive in Indonesia on Friday After Autopsy

Kapanlagi.com - Sad news comes from the music scene in the homeland. The guitarist of the band Seringai, Ricky Siahaan, passed away on Saturday (19/4/2025) in Tokyo, Japan. At that time, Ricky was participating in a series of concert tours with his band. His passing occurred right after the closing of the concert titled Seringai Wolves of East Asia Tour 2025.

"Ricky Siahaan has left the stage. Our guitarist, our friend, our brother, Ricky, has suddenly passed away after completing his set at the closing of our tour in Tokyo, Japan. Ricky left this world doing something he loved: playing loud music to the fullest. Ricky was energy, laughter, and strength on and off the stage," the band wrote through the official Seringai Instagram account.

We have lost one of the most important parts of this entity. We are in the process of bringing Ricky home to Indonesia and will provide further information regarding memorials and tributes
for him. Thank you for all the love and support you have shown since this news broke," they added.

The body of Ricky is currently still in Japan and cannot be sent back to Indonesia immediately. Seringai's manager, Wendi Putranto, stated that there are several procedures that must be followed first.

"The body is likely to arrive in the homeland on Friday (25/4) next week," Wendi wrote in a text message on Sunday (20/4/2025).

1. Strict Procedures

Wendi explained that Ricky's body is still in the autopsy process. This procedure is part of the stages required by the local authorities. "After the autopsy and clearance process are completed," Wendi said.

Furthermore, Wendi mentioned that the administrative and legal processes in Japan are quite strict, especially when it involves Foreign Nationals (WNA). Therefore, they are still waiting for the necessary documents to be completed. "In Japan, the procedures are quite strict when it comes to the death of a foreign national," Wendi said.

Ricky Siahaan was known as the guitarist who had been with Seringai since the early days of the band. His loss leaves a deep wound for family, friends, and fans.
