Kapanlagi.com - Senior artist Rima Melati passed away on Thursday, June 16, 2022. The deceased breathed her last after undergoing treatment at RSPAD Gatot Subroto, Central Jakarta.
At present, the body of Frans Tumbuan's wife is laid out at the Sentosa Funeral Home, Kamboja room at RSPAD Gatot Subroto, Central Jakarta, while waiting for the family's decision regarding the funeral plan.
The departure of Rima Melati not only brought grief to her family, but also to her friends, including Widyawati.
The wife of the late Sophan Sophiaan knew that her friend was fighting against her illness. Therefore, she always asked about Rima Melati's condition to her son, Aditya Tumbuan. Even until the very last moment before Rima Melati passed away, Widyawati was still informed by Aditya Tumbuan.
"Aditya, I always contacted her to know her condition. Aditya must have informed me. Earlier, she WhatsApped me, 'mom's heart is being pumped, I didn't know what happened after that, mom is no longer here'," said Widyawati at the Sentosa Funeral Home, RSPAD Gatot Subroto, Central Jakarta.

Widyawati knows to some extent how her friend managed to stay strong and recover. Recently, it was known that Rima Melati had to undergo dialysis every day to improve her condition.
"She undergoes dialysis every day. The last time, she was really helpless, when she was still being treated at Pondok Indah Bintaro hospital before being transferred here. Back then, sometimes I would call her and she would just respond with a 'hmm', but it wasn't clear," said Widyawati.

As a friend, Widyawati can only let go. She believes that her friend's passing was God's best destiny.
"This is the best for Mbak Rima," she concluded.

Widyawati has many memories with Rima Melati. During her lifetime, Rima Melati was known as a kind and humble artist.
"There are so many. For me, wherever and whenever, I always remember her because she was such a kind person. She was humble to everyone, always greeting everyone, and friendly," Widyawati concluded.
As previously reported, Rima Melati passed away on Thursday (23/6/2022) at 3.14 PM WIB after undergoing treatment for her health condition. Before her passing, Rima Melati's health was reportedly declining due to the decubitus disease she had.
