Kartika Putri Questions Progress of Her Case with Doctor Richard Lee at the High Prosecutor's Office

Kapanlagi.com - The dispute between Kartika Putri and Doctor Richard Lee apparently is not yet over. This time, Kartika Putri accompanied by her legal team was seen visiting the Head of the High Prosecutor's Office in South Jakarta, Thursday (23/6).

Kartika Putri's lawyer, Brian Praneda, explained the purpose of their visit to the High Prosecutor's Office today was to inquire about the progress of the report against Richard Lee. They also wanted to ask if there were any shortcomings.

"So today, Kartika Putri and I want to inquire about the progress regarding our report. Based on the investigator's information, there are some shortcomings in the files according to the prosecutor's instructions. But they have been returned to the Kejati," said Brian when met at the South Jakarta Kejati on Thursday (23/6/2022).

1. Calls DRL a Suspect

It is known that the return of the files has been quite long. Therefore, Brian explained that this progress confirmation is a continuation of the defamation case with the suspect with the initials DRL, who is suspected to be Doctor Richard Lee.

"The case is about defamation. The suspect is currently DRL," said Brian.

2. Wants to Know Progress

Furthermore, if there is a lack of evidence or information from Kartika Putri and witnesses, they are ready to provide support and assistance regarding the investigation process. Kartika Putri also mentioned that she and her legal team have followed the legal procedures, because as a layperson, the legal process feels very long to her.

"So, the point is we want to ask about the progress of the investigation so far so that it can be quickly resolved in P21. So that later it can go to the trial process," said Brian.

"But we have fulfilled everything. Even yesterday at Mabes we have fulfilled everything. But why do I, as a layperson in law, feel that the process is not progressing," added Kartika Putri.

3. All Equal in the Eyes of the Law

She also added that she only wants clarity regarding the handling of her report. All aimed so that the problem does not drag on and she does not have to speculate.

"Because I want everyone to be equal in the eyes of the law, there is no one who is special in the eyes of the law. Because as a citizen, there is a feeling of jealousy," concluded Kartika Putri.
