Riri Khasmita Denies Being Called a Housemaid for the Late Mother of Nirina Zubir

Kapanlagi.com - Defendant Riri Khasmita denies working as a Household Assistant (ART) in the house of Nirina Zubir's late mother, Cut Indria Marzuki. This rebuttal was given when the panel of judges asked for her response to the testimony of Nirina's brother, Fadhlan Karim, in the land mafia case trial.

In her confession, Riri Khasmita admitted that she had never been paid by Nirina Zubir's mother. She explained that she was only trusted to take care of the late mother's rented property.

"No, Your Honor, I never worked there. I also pay every month," said Riri Khasmita in the trial at the West Jakarta District Court on Tuesday (17/5).

After giving her testimony, Nirina also responded to what Riri Khasmita had said. Nirina said that Riri not only received facilities, but she also held all the rent money for the late mother's rented property.

"That's their rebuttal. So, where else in Indonesia do you live with four rooms, one specifically for her cat, one for this couple with AC, with unlimited electricity, one for her sister Nabila, one is the ironing room," said Nirina.

"And she holds all the rent money," she added.

In addition, Fadhlan Karim stated in court that Riri Khasmita had worked as a domestic worker for Cut Indria Marzuki since 2009. Riri was also said to have been authorized to manage her mother's land certificate but it was misused.

Riri Khasmita and other defendants, Edrianto, were charged with Article 263 paragraph (2), Article 264 paragraph (2), Article 362 jo Article 55 paragraph 1-1 of the Criminal Code (KUHP) regarding Forgery of Documents and Theft. Riri and Edrianto were also charged with Article 3 of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 8 of 2010 concerning the Prevention and Eradication of Money Laundering (TPPU) jo Article 55 paragraph (1) ke-1 KUHP.
