RMI Collaborates with Top Artists to Hold Social Action to Care for 1000 Orphans in 5 Cities in Indonesia

Kapanlagi.com - At the end of this year's Ramadan, Road Manager Indonesia (RMI) carried out a social action by collaborating with the Lentera Qolbu Amanah Foundation. They held prayers, recitations, and a grand charity for 1,000 orphans in 5 cities and regions in Indonesia. The event started in Sukabumi City (24 March 2022), Banjarnegara (13 April 2022), Purwokerto (15 April 2022), Cilacap (17 April 2022), and Pangandaran (19 April 2022).

The grand charity of 1000 orphans reciting blessings was held during the pandemic to pray for the nation and society as well as to provide assistance to the orphans and the needy to reduce the burden of economic pressure caused by the pandemic.

As the Chairman of RMI, Abdul Aziz explained that this activity is a manifestation of RMI's concern during the pandemic. Currently, many orphans are affected by economic difficulties. They are the ones who suffer the most from the economic impact of this pandemic, in addition to not having a father as the backbone of their family.

"We have created the Yatim Care program for 1000 orphans with recitations and charity. The plan is to continue this charity event by traveling to every city and region in Indonesia. The number of participants is 100-200 children at each event in each city, following strict health protocols," explained Abdul Aziz.

What's special about this Peduli Yatim event is that RMI brought in top artists such as Bagindas, Dimas HK, Vikri Rasta, Nisya Rahma, and other artists to entertain the orphans.

"It's an extraordinary experience to be among the orphans and be able to entertain them. It's a very inspirational spiritual experience for us artists, hats off to RMI," said Andra, the vocalist of Bagindas.

In addition to prayers and recitations, there was also aid provided to the orphans in the form of cash, rice, daily necessities, and so on. Budi Dharmawan (Bael), the RMI Public Relations Officer, added that the Shalawat and Aid Program for 1000 Orphans is a self-funded fundraising initiative by RMI members, Allah's servants, and sponsors such as Langit Musik, Melon, Jazz Goes To Campus, and Edisan Entertainment.

Meanwhile, the caretaker of the Alif Baa Islamic Boarding School in Banjarnegara, Gus Khayat, appreciated the activities carried out by RMI and the Lentera Qolbu Amanah Foundation, and welcomed this activity and hoped that it could continue to be carried out in all cities and regions throughout the archipelago.

"This activity is very good and worth emulating. Especially providing aid to orphans and reciting prayers, which is one of the habits of the Prophet Muhammad SAW," he said.

The Lentera Qolbu Amanah Foundation's mentor, Aji Fauzi, explained that RMI and the Lentera Qolbu Amanah Foundation share the same VISION and MISSION, which is to actively contribute to society through good and targeted social programs to help orphans and the less fortunate fulfill their needs properly and prosperously.

After successfully carrying out the Peduli Yatim Menebar Doa dan Shalawat activity in the first 5 cities, RMI and Yayasan Lentera Qolbu Amanah Insya ALLAH plan to hold a similar event in the next cities and regions.
