Rossa's Story Successfully Invites Yoyo to Play in 'ALL ACCESS TO ROSSA 25 SHINING YEARS', Opens Up About Divorce

Initially, Rossa said she did not think of inviting her ex-husband to play in her documentary film. But since her child, Rizky Langit Ramadan, was also involved, Rossa finally mustered the courage to invite Yoyo.

"I just said, honestly Mas Yoyo, this is the last shoot. Maybe at the beginning of this year, right? Imagine the beginning of this year. Because initially, I didn't want to involve Mas Yoyo," said Rossa when met at Plaza Indonesia, Central Jakarta, Monday (29/7/2024).

"I don’t want there to be any gimmick or anything like that in this documentary film. But when we are done, I think it’s fair for Mas Yoyo to also be given the opportunity to speak," Rossa continued. 

As an ex-wife, Rossa understands very well that Yoyo has traits that are now passed down to their only child. That’s why, initially, she wasn't sure if the Padi drummer wanted to be involved in her documentary film.

"The second one is lobbying Mas Yoyo. Yoyo and Rizky are actually quite similar, both appear cool on the outside but are actually shy to express themselves," explained Rossa. 

The 45-year-old woman still remembers trying to invite the man she once loved to get involved. Of course, Yoyo did not immediately agree at that time. 

"And when I told Mas Yoyo, 'Dad, I'm making a documentary film. Rizky said, would you like to talk there too?', he said, 'Okay, I'll think about it first, ma'am'," Rossa recounted.

After a few days, Yoyo finally expressed his willingness. Of course, this made the woman affectionately called Teteh Ocha happy, because Yoyo was willing to complete his debut film and in that film, they also opened up about the divorce that had never been disclosed to the public.

"Well, finally a few days later I asked again and thank God Mas Yoyo was willing because there was really nothing in the script, there was no script at all. So whatever Mas Yoyo said was repeated again by Mas Yoyo. So maybe that's what made him willing," she explained.

"And this will be a film that will be remembered for the rest of our lives, me, Yoyo, and Rizky especially, because we are in the story," she concluded.
