Roy Marten Says Giring Ganesha Has No Chance to Become Presidential Candidate in 2024, Here's the Reason

Of course, this has sparked various reactions from many people, including senior actor Roy Marten, who also gave his response. According to Gading Marten's father, there is one thing that will prevent Giring's desire from being fulfilled, which is that PSI does not have seats in the parliament.

"PSI currently does not have seats in the parliament. As long as the electoral laws remain like this, it is impossible for Giring to run for presidency because his party is not represented (in the parliament, Red)," said Roy Marten when met in Kemang, South Jakarta, on Saturday (29/8).

However, Roy said that the decision was Giring's right to run in the competition for the number 1 seat in Indonesia. However, he believes that Giring is still too early to nominate himself as a presidential candidate.

"To become president, you need extraordinary abilities to govern the 250 million people of Indonesia. At least become a mayor first, or a governor, or anything in the field of government," he said.

2. Learn First

In addition, Roy also believes that a leader must be able to adapt and have experience with bureaucracy. But he still supports Giring's decision, but still needs to learn first.

"Giring or any artist who wants to enter politics, I support. But one thing, they must learn first," said Roy.
