"In connection with the news circulating recently, I apologize for the situation at hand. Throughout this process, I have also attempted to clarify through our friend, but have not yet found common ground. On the other hand, I continue to gather evidence related to what I have stated in the investigation, with the aim of demonstrating the consistency of the data and information provided," wrote Ruben Onsu on the morning of Saturday, August 22, 2026.
His legal status as a suspect was announced on Thursday, August 20, 2026, following a case title. This designation came after a report from a complainant with the initials P on behalf of the victim with the initials DM.
The South Jakarta Metro Police officially named Ruben Onsu as a suspect in the case of alleged fraud and investment embezzlement. This information places the legal process as the main context of his apology post on social media.
The announcement of the suspect status was made on Thursday, August 20, 2026, following a case examination. This stage was carried out following the ongoing process since the report was received.

In the same post, Ruben explained that he is working on gathering evidence to complete his statement. He also mentioned the difficulties in finding parties who had previously worked with him.
"However, because some people who previously worked with me are no longer employed and are difficult to contact for accountability, I am trying to find and gather that evidence one by one with very limited access, in order to complete and attach my statement," he continued.
"This is not meant to justify myself. During this process, I am also resolving other issues by again seeking data and evidence to correct the news that I believe is far from what actually happened. This process has certainly taken a lot of time and involved many parties," Ruben Onsu continued.
Ruben concluded his statement by referring to this incident as a learning experience. He emphasized his commitment to being responsible and resolving issues in a good and familial manner, while also expressing hope regarding the focus of the news coverage.
"What happened has been a lesson for me. I remain responsible and committed to resolving this issue in a good and familial way. I hope the news coverage is not used to cover up or divert attention from national issues that need our collective concern. Thank you to everyone who continues to provide encouragement and support," he concluded.
