Ruben Onsu's Lawyer Reveals Evidence of Argument with Sarwendah

The domestic turmoil between Ruben Onsu and Sarwendah enters a new chapter. His attorney, Minola Sebayang, revealed the existence of a video recording that captures their argument. This step is taken to respond to statements from Sarwendah's side which previously claimed there has never been a major quarrel, especially in front of the children.

Minola conveyed this in a meeting with the media. He emphasized that denials from the other party are perfectly valid, but his side feels the need to present the facts they possess.

"They (Sarwendah's side) can deny it, it's not a problem. But in life, people who say that tend to forget faster than those who listen," said Minola Sebayang when met at his office in the Kuningan area, South Jakarta, Thursday (30/7/2026).

On that occasion, Minola displayed his phone screen which contained a video recording. From the recording, high-pitched voices and loud shouts could be heard. He emphasized that the material was prepared as evidence regarding the disputed incident.

According to Minola's statement, the recorded argument took place inside the house. The sounds in the video were reportedly heard clearly by people present at the scene during the incident, including members of the extended family.

The disclosure of this video is said to be related to claims from Sarwendah's side, which stated that there had never been a major commotion, especially in front of the children. Ruben's side considers the recording relevant to respond to that claim.

Minola stated that he chose to show the recording to ensure the public understands the context of the statements that have been circulating. He based this on the audio content in the video, which is deemed clear enough to illustrate the situation at the time of the incident.

2. Claims of Not Quarreling in Front of Children Disputed

Specifically, Minola highlighted the statement claiming that Sarwendah maintains ethics and does not argue in front of children. He mentioned the recording he brought as a reference to test that claim.

"They say they never argue in front of the children, and they don't want the entire extended family to know because of ethics. Well, this is the video proof. It is not intended to violate ethics, but to prove the facts," he explained.

He added that with the volume of the sound in the recording being so loud that it could be heard throughout the house, it is unlikely that the children did not hear or know about the dispute. This statement is directly related to the focus of the rebuttal his side wants to convey.

Minola also stated that the position of the recording as evidence is intended so that the presentation of facts is done in a measured manner. He believes that displaying the content of the recording is a way to respond to statements that have already circulated.

On the other hand, Minola understands that the disclosure of the argument video may not be favored by certain parties. However, he emphasizes the importance of this step for the legal protection of his client, Ruben Onsu.

"In order to prove the accusations or statements that we consider detrimental to our client's legal interests, we must bring forth the existing facts and evidence," explained Minola.

According to him, all actions taken are directly related to the need for proof. The statements made that day are positioned as a response to previous statements and part of the ongoing legal efforts.

Minola assures that the presentation of evidence is conducted in the appropriate context. He reiterates that the disclosure of the recordings is part of the legal steps chosen to ensure his client's position is recorded based on the available facts.
