Alice Norin's Father Suddenly Fainted During Workout, Doctor Found Heart Blockage

Through a post on social media, Alice admitted that she initially did not see any worrying signs. Her father was actually very active in exercising and appeared to be in good condition, so the incident was truly unexpected.

"At first, we thought everything was fine. Dad was even very enthusiastic about working out. Until one day, we were all made to panic," wrote Alice.

After regaining consciousness, Alice's father complained of dizziness accompanied by chest tightness. Worried that these symptoms could indicate a heart attack or stroke, the family immediately took him to the nearest hospital's emergency room for examination.

"The day before Dad returned to Norway, we were shocked because Dad fainted in the middle of his workout. When asked, Dad said he felt dizzy and had tightness in his chest. Worried it was a sign of a heart attack/stroke, we immediately took Dad to the nearest ER," explained Alice.

The results of the CT scan of the head and heart examination later revealed a blockage in the heart's blood vessels.

Because the father faced language barriers, Alice and the family ultimately decided to continue the examination in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. They hoped that the father could explain his complaints to the doctor more freely and feel more comfortable during the consultation process.

"Dad was asked to have a CT scan of the head and a heart examination. It turned out there was indeed a blockage. After trying to seek a second opinion, the doctor advised Dad to undergo heart catheterization. Because Dad had language difficulties, we decided to go for a check-up in KL so Dad could feel more comfortable explaining his complaints to the doctor," explained Alice.

Behind the hope that medical intervention would not be necessary, the family had to accept the reality that the procedure was indeed the best option. The doctors in Kuala Lumpur reiterated that heart catheterization was necessary to address the blockage experienced by Alice's father.

The most emotional moment occurs just before the procedure begins. Alice admitted that her heart raced when her father suddenly entrusted her with important information as a precaution in case something happened during the medical procedure.

"And before the procedure was done, Dad suddenly said, 'This is the hotel safe box password, just in case something happens to me.' At that moment, I was shocked, not knowing how to respond," Alice revealed.

Many joined in praying for her father to have a smooth procedure, to recover quickly, and to be able to return to his usual activities.
