Abdel Achrian recounts the moment he received the sad news of his close friend, Temon's, passing. The news actually first came from one of their close friends.
"I was informed by Kodil. Kodil is also our friend, so I got the news from Kodil. If I'm not mistaken, he (Temon) passed away around half past eight. Kodil informed me around nine or so," said Abdel Achrian when met in Ancol, North Jakarta, Saturday (18/7/2026).
After receiving the news, Abdel immediately contacted Temon's child and wife to confirm the accuracy of the information he received. He wanted to hear it directly from the family.
"Then after that I called Rico, I called Mae (Temon's wife) to confirm," said Abdel.
Abdel admitted that he and Temon are actually not the type of friends who communicate regularly every day. Because of that, he was completely unaware of any signs of illness in his friend."Oh, if it's communication like every day, no, not intense. Because he didn't have any news about being sick, no news about being sick," said Abdel.
The last meeting between the two occurred about two to three weeks before Temon passed away, which was when they attended a Comika event together. Abdel mentioned that their friendship model is indeed not accustomed to calling each other to ask about news.
"But it seems the last time we met was when we had an event at Comika, that was still together, about 2 or 3 weeks before. I and Temon are not really the type to call each other just to ask how we are, except during Covid at that time, it was quite intense," said Abdel.
