Kapanlagi.com - Sad news came from the music industry of the homeland. Former bassist of the band EdanE, Iwan Xaverius, passed away on Wednesday (5/6/2024). The sad news was conveyed directly by Chafiz, EdanE's manager, when contacted by Kapanlagi.com via WhatsApp message.
"Yes, it's true (he passed away), he will be buried at TPU Menteng Pulo this afternoon," said Chafiz.
"(He passed away) around 12.40 noon today," Chafiz continued.
Chafiz explained that before passing away, Iwan Xaverius had been back and forth to the hospital due to a heart attack he had since mid-last year.
"At the beginning of the year, he had a heart attack, around mid-last year, and he had been back and forth to the hospital," he said.
Actually, Iwan Xaverius' condition had improved. He even attended an iftar event with EdanE personnel. However, after that, Iwan Xaverius' condition worsened.
"Last March, we had an iftar gathering with Edane personnel, he could still smile and laugh. After that, his condition worsened," said Chafiz.
Iwan Xaverius used to be the bassist of EdanE. In 2005, Iwan Xaverius left the band led by Eet Syahrani and his friends. Although no longer part of EdanE, Iwan Xaverius and the personnel still maintain good relationships.
"Since around 2005. But communication has always been smooth between us and the EdanE personnel," he concluded.
