Sad News, Ustaz Maheer At-Thuwailibi Passed Away in Mabes Polri Detention Center

Kapanlagi.com - The entertainment world of the homeland is once again shaken by grief. Soni Ernata or Ustaz Maaher At-Thuwailibi passed away today, Monday (8/2) at around 19.00 WIB. The sad news was conveyed directly by Ustaz Yusuf Mansur through a post on his verified Instagram account.

Investigation has it that Ustaz Maaher died in the detention center of the Indonesian National Police Headquarters. As is known, the deceased was indeed undergoing detention after being convicted of hate speech charges on social media.

"Innaa lillaahi wa innaa ilaihi rooji'uun. Goodbye my friend. InshaAllah, a good ending. A few days ago, we were still in communication. About a few things. Truly a good ending, aamiin," wrote Ustaz Yusuf Mansur in the caption of his post.

1. Remembering Ustaz Maheer

Ustaz Yusuf Mansur also invited his followers to pray for the deceased. According to him, Ustaz Maheer was a person full of goodness during his lifetime.

"Let's pray for him, my friends. He had many good deeds. And his generosity. He also had nothing. Leaving behind a wife and descendants who will become great people in the future. Let's pray," concluded Ustaz Yusuf Mansur.

As is known, during his detention, Ustaz Maheer complained of being sick. Therefore, he was taken to the Indonesian National Police Hospital for examination. Until now, there has been no official release regarding the exact illness that took Ustaz Maheer's life.
