Sarwendah and Ruben Onsu Begin Child Custody Hearing, Here’s the First Agenda of the Trial

Kapanlagi.com - The child custody lawsuit filed by Ruben Onsu against Sarwendah began to be heard at the South Jakarta District Court on Wednesday (15/7/2026). The first hearing was scheduled for the examination of the identities of the parties as well as the appointment of a mediation judge before entering the mediation process.

Sarwendah was present, accompanied by her attorney, Chris Sam Siwu. She stated that her presence was a form of respect for the ongoing legal process.

"I am here today to fulfill my first hearing summons. As a good citizen, I came here to the South Jakarta District Court," Sarwendah said.

In the midst of the legal process she is facing, Sarwendah emphasizes that nothing has changed in her priorities as a mother. She stated that she will continue to prioritize the happiness and comfort of her three children.

"As a mother, from the past until now, nothing has changed; making my children happy, making them feel comfortable, and everything," she expressed.

Sarwendah also chooses not to comment much on the substance of the lawsuit. She only hopes that the entire series of trials will proceed smoothly and yield the best results for her children.

"Pray that the trial can proceed smoothly for the children's happiness," she said.

2. Trial Has Not Discussed the Main Case

Sarwendah's attorney, Chris Sam Siwu, explained that the initial trial was still limited to administrative checks and the appointment of a mediator judge. According to him, the main issue regarding child custody has not been discussed in this trial.

"Today's agenda for the first trial is the examination of documents or the identities of the plaintiff and defendant, after which a mediator judge is appointed. Wenda came, she is serious in the trial and will go all out to obtain child custody," explained Chris Sam Siwu.
