Sarwendah Does Not Attend Divorce Hearing Again, Ruben Onsu's Lawyer Says The Judges Still Give One More Opportunity

Kapanlagi.com - Ruben Onsu and Sarwendah both did not attend their divorce hearing held at the South Jakarta District Court on Tuesday (30/7/2024). Today's hearing was only attended by Ruben Onsu's legal representative, Tiara Octavia.

Tiara explained that today's agenda was the second summons for the defendant, namely Sarwendah.

"Today's agenda is still the second summons for the defendant. However, the defendant did not attend," said Tiara Octavia after the hearing on Tuesday (30/7/2024).

1. One Opportunity for Sarwendah

Tiara said that the panel of judges has given Sarwendah's side another opportunity. If Sarwendah's side fails to attend again, the hearing will proceed without Sarwendah's presence.

"So the panel of judges is still giving one more opportunity to the defendant, but if the defendant does not attend the next hearing, it will continue without the defendant's presence," said Tiara Octavia.

2. No Clear Reason

Meanwhile, the Public Relations Officer of the South Jakarta District Court, Tumpanuli Marbun, explained that Sarwendah did not attend without any clear reason. In fact, the mother of three had already been sent a valid summons letter from the panel of judges of the South Jakarta District Court.

"Based on the information we received from the panel of judges handling the case, it turns out that the defendant could not attend today without a clear reason. Meanwhile, the summons we sent to the new address is deemed valid and proper," said Tumpanuli Marbun.

3. The Divorce Will Continue

Tumpanuli Marbun explained that the divorce hearing of Ruben Onsu and Sarwendah will continue with the agenda of summoning the defendant for the second time.

"The panel deems it necessary to summon the defendant once again, and this summoning is the final one," he concluded.
