Sarwendah Reveals the Chronology of Her Father's Passing, Starting from Stomach Pain

Kapanlagi.com - In the midst of mourning, Sarwendah took the time to clarify various speculations regarding the cause of her father, Hendrik Lo's, passing. She emphasized that the hospital had provided quick and the best care.

This singer and entrepreneur explained that it all started with complaints of stomach pain, which was thought to be just a common gastric issue, a condition that the deceased often experienced. "So, actually, dad initially had a stomach ache. So, every time he was in pain, he thought it was just his usual gastric or GERD," Sarwendah revealed when met at the Grand Heaven Pluit Funeral Home on Monday (21/7/2025).

However, the pain that the father felt this time was different. "But it turns out that yesterday he was really in pain, very painful until it reached his back and he was finally rushed to the hospital," he continued.

Upon arriving at the hospital, Sarwendah mentioned that the medical handling was very quick. After a CT scan and MRI, gallstones, kidney stones, and a blockage in the pancreatic duct that caused an infection were found.

"Finally, an endoscopy was performed with very quick handling. So, the doctors were also very quick, they immediately provided treatment," she said.

Unfortunately, the father's condition continued to decline. Sarwendah explained that her father's body seemed to reject the medication given, which caused swelling and other complications.

"So when there was swelling, endoscopy, and then dad was still okay, but it seemed like dad's body rejected the medication, so his body rejected the medication and eventually his condition deteriorated over time," she explained.

She also dismissed negative rumors and praised the performance of the medical team. As someone who has many doctor acquaintances, she ensured that all procedures were carried out according to standards.

"The hospital handled it very quickly, especially since I am actually very detail-oriented when it comes to medication and hospital matters," concluded Sarwendah.
