Kapanlagi.com - Ammar Zoni's legal counsel, Abdullah Emile Oemar, advised Ammar Zoni and his family to accept the judge's decision to sentence him to seven months in prison, with time served and rehabilitation deducted.
According to his calculations, Ammar will soon be able to breathe the air of freedom.
"So my advice to Ammar and his family is to accept the decision. We have calculated the amount of time served by Ammar with the judge's decision, and by mid-October, Ammar will be able to be released," said Abdullah Emile Oemar at the South Jakarta District Court on Tuesday (26/9/2023).

Abdullah Emile Oemar detailed the remaining period of imprisonment that Ammar must serve, based on the judge's verdict. According to Emile's calculation, his client has already served approximately 6.5 months of imprisonment and rehabilitation.
"In the previous verdict, Ammar was sentenced to 7 months in prison, minus the period of rehabilitation and imprisonment he has already served. The daily period of imprisonment and rehabilitation is around 6.5 months, so if the verdict becomes final in 7 days, it means that Ammar will possibly serve another 5 days to a week (imprisonment) until October 3," he said.
Abdullah Emile Oemar hopes that the prosecutor will not appeal so that the verdict against Ammar Zoni can become legally binding or final. This way, Ammar Zoni can quickly reunite with his family.
"We just have to wait for the prosecutor's decision, whether they accept it or file an appeal. But, God willing, based on what I see here, the judge has made a decision as requested by the prosecutor. Only the duration of imprisonment is different. So hopefully, next month Ammar can be free and reunited with his family," he said.
