Shareefa Daanish Sad About Being Labeled a Psychopath in Real Life: Wow, Why the Judging?

Shareefa Daanish once again showcases her impressive acting skills in the latest thriller film titled 'LIFT'. Widely recognized for her talent in portraying unique characters with horror or gore elements, the wife of The S.I.G.I.T guitarist, Farri Icksan Wibisana, takes on a challenging role as Doris. However, her success in immersing herself in the role often leads to misconceptions among netizens who believe that the fictional character spills over into real life.

During the press conference for the film's launch, the woman born on June 21, 1982, responded to the negative comments that frequently appeared on her social media. She admitted to being confused when her acting ability was used as a benchmark for her true personality by some irresponsible individuals.

"The question is whether I'm really a psychopath or not, right, sis? Wow, why the judging," she said when met in the Sarinah area, Central Jakarta, on Friday (13/2/2026).

Shareefa explained that as a role artist, her goal is to convince the audience. However, she feels sad if her totality results in a judgment of her personal character that is far from reality. For her, the accusation feels very unfair considering she is just doing her job as best as she can.

"So what I mean is I don't know, I feel that if I am told for example to play a murderer and then judged 'Oh in real life, she's also a murderer,' that is, in my opinion, a very malicious thought," said this mother of one in a serious tone.

In addition to issues regarding her image, Shareefa's totality in the film 'LIFT' also took a toll. Her co-star, Verdi Solaiman, who played Hansen, suffered an injury while filming one of the intense scenes. Verdi revealed that he was hit by Shareefa's high-heeled shoe, causing bleeding due to the proximity during the shot.

"Well, that was my fault too. I had asked Daanish to fight me even though I was covering for him, and what do you call it, the kicking scene. I might have been too intense and had enough choreography at that time, so I didn't keep my distance well. So when the foot and something hit, it really connected and blood came out," said Verdi Solaiman.

Shareefa, who has no martial arts background, admitted feeling very guilty about the incident. She realized that her control over her strength was not perfect, unlike professional action actors. She immediately apologized in front of the media and her colleague. "Doris is really sorry and yes, really sorry to Mas Verdi because maybe since I don't have a martial arts background, I couldn't control it yet, and at that time I probably needed more practice," Shareefa said with great regret.

Despite being marred by a bloody incident, the chemistry among the cast has only grown stronger. This film promises tension built from micro-expressions and claustrophobic situations, where Shareefa Daanish's gaze becomes one of the main weapons in building terror.
