It has been five years since he has lived alone in a boarding room, since separating from his wife. “Since I separated from my ex-wife, I have been living alone for 5 years. One of my children is already married, and the other is with their mother. It's okay, I just go through everything, I just let it go,” said Fahmi.

Although he felt sad at times, he chose to be grateful and surrender everything to God. “At first, I complained, why is this happening. But I thought, it’s not beneficial. So I just let it go, still we are grateful, pray. Insya Allah, God will take care of me even though I am alone.”

Even though he lives alone, Fahmi does not lose his spirit. He is grateful because his relationship with his children is starting to improve. “Alhamdulillah, my relationship with the kids has been good since last Eid. We can communicate via WhatsApp, they have come here. Even though they don’t come often, I’m okay with it. The important thing is that I can still communicate,” he said.

In his physical limitations that make it difficult for him to go to the bathroom, Fahmi is endlessly grateful because there are always kind hands that come to help. “My friend, whom I haven’t seen for years, suddenly came to see me in this condition. He is also a delivery driver, so while waiting for orders, he stands by here. So for almost a month now, it’s a bit safer for me to go to the bathroom during the day until the evening,” he explained. He was even helped by the owner of a coffee shop when he needed assistance at night. “Sometimes I feel sad alone, I hope he gets a lot of rewards for helping me.”

Fahmi also revealed that help from fellow celebrities came unexpectedly and right on time. “In 2023, Nikita Mirzani came here. She helped me pay for my rent for a year. It was truly a miracle, as God showed His power. I had already been told to leave because I hadn’t paid for 4 months. She came on Tuesday, and I was supposed to be told to leave on Wednesday. And it was paid for directly for one year. So I’m free for 8 months from 2023 until September 2024. I am very grateful for that.”

Even though he doesn’t have any specific vows, Fahmi only has one big wish: to recover and be productive again. “I just ask for prayers from all my friends at KapanLagi.com.
