Sienna shares that the process of writing this song was quite draining both physically and mentally as it went through nine attempts. Through this song, she wants to convey a message of empowerment to anyone who often feels like they don't have a permanent place or feel like just a visitor in someone else's life.

"This is a song about the fear of impermanence, the fear of everything that ends, the fear of people leaving," said Sienna Spiro when met in the Daan Mogot area, West Jakarta, on Tuesday (28/4/2026).

This English singer hopes her listeners do not feel inferior if they have those "alien" feelings. According to her, being a diverse personand open to new things can actually be a strength in navigating the uncertainties of life.

Not stopping there, Sienna also shared exciting news about her involvement in the Hollywood film industry. She has been confirmed to contribute to the soundtrack of Devil Wears Prada 2 with her song titled "Material Lover," which she recently teased on social media.

Sienna admitted that she felt very honored when the production house asked her to write a special song for the sequel of the iconic fashion film. Although she is used to writing sad songs, she felt challenged to create a work that is relevant to the current digital world.

"In the past, the term materialistic was often used to insult someone, but I prefer to be like that than to be fake," explained the singer who once performed on the Jimmy Fallon show.

The inspiration for the song "Material Lover" comes from the changing times where print magazines are starting to be abandoned and replaced by digital and AI. Sienna wants to voice that reality through lyrics that remain enjoyable but have a touch of social critique within them.
