After undergoing more than eight hours of questioning at Polda Metro Jaya, South Jakarta, on Tuesday (3/4/2025), Nikita and Mail exited the interrogation room wearing orange prison uniforms. Their detention will last for the next 20 days for the purposes of investigation.

When asked about her feelings regarding this detention, the 38-year-old artist admitted that she did not really mind it. Nikita expressed that she just wanted the legal issues surrounding her to be resolved quickly.

"It’s nothing much, just want it to be over quickly," she said briefly.

This case began with a report from Reza Gladys, who claimed to be a victim of extortion by Nikita and Mail. The incident was reported to have occurred on November 13, 2024, in South Jakarta. The investigators from the Metro Jaya Police then named Nikita and Mail as suspects after conducting a series of examinations.

In this examination, Nikita appeared with Mail after previously requesting a postponement on February 20, 2025, due to reasons of busyness. In fact, a day before this examination, Nikita also did not respond to the investigator's invitation. However, both finally arrived on time on Tuesday morning at 10:00 AM WIB.

When asked about the prison clothes she was wearing, Nikita once again gave a brief answer. "As per my will," she said. Despite being in a difficult situation, this often-controversial artist appeared calm while facing her legal process.

4. 20-Year Prison Sentence Threat

With this detention, the investigators have time to complete the case file before this case is handed over to the prosecutor's office. Nikita herself is charged with several serious articles, including Article 27B paragraph (2) and Article 45 paragraph (10) of the ITE Law, Article 368 of the Penal Code regarding threats, as well as articles in the Law on Money Laundering (TPPU).
