Bringing young children to perform Umrah presents a unique challenge for the couple Fairuz A Rafiq and Sonny Septian. Initially filled with worry, they were instead amazed by their children's strength.
Upon arriving at Soekarno-Hatta Airport, Tangerang, on Tuesday (31/7/2025), Fairuz and Sonny shared their memorable experiences during their time in the Holy Land.
Sonny Septian admitted he was initially anxious that his children, especially Eijaz and Zhafi, would be fussy considering the packed schedule of worship and exhausting travel.
"At first, there was fear, oh, will the kids be fussy, will they cry?" said Sonny.
That worry turned out to be unfounded. According to Sonny, his children actually showed extraordinary enthusiasm from the moment they arrived until they completed the entire series of rituals. "It turns out, qadarullah, they woke up, they were excited," he continued.
Fairuz added that one of the moments that impressed her the most was when her son, Eijaz, was able to complete the Sa'i ritual without complaining at all.
"Thank God, the most important thing is that we were worried the kids would be fussy, but they weren't. Even Eijaz during Sa'i didn't ask to be carried, he was strong," said Fairuz.
Not only Eijaz, but also the youngest Zhafi, who is only three years old, joined in running around excitedly during the Sa'i ceremony.
Seeing the strength and enthusiasm of their children in worship, Fairuz and Sonny feel very grateful. This journey becomes an unforgettable spiritual experience for the whole family.
"Seeing the children during Sa'i, they seem so enthusiastic, especially Zhafi," concluded Sonny with a happy face.
