The situation becomes dire when Nobara discovers a small child hiding and then being held hostage by another curse. The curse attempted to use the child as a shield, putting Nobara in a difficult position. However, Yuji suddenly appeared dramatically, punching the wall and severing the curse's arm to free the child.

After the curse tried to escape, Nobara showed her full strength by using "Straw Doll Technique: Resonance" on the severed arm of the curse, causing the curse to shatter. This episode also includes a brief flashback to Nobara's past, including her relationship with her friend Saori and her motivation for coming to Tokyo.
