1. The Beginning of the Culling Game

The jujutsu world is not in a good place after the shocking Shibuya incident. Chaos reigns, and jujutsu sorcerers must face the horrific consequences of the event.

Kenjaku, who is now inhabiting Suguru Geto's body, has activated the "Culling Game". This is a deadly battle royale-style tournament designed to optimize cursed energy and push humanity's evolution.

This deadly game involves many sorcerers, both old and new, as well as ordinary people who are forced to participate.

Yuji Itadori, Megumi Fushiguro, and their allies now have a significant mission. They must stop Kenjaku's plans, free Satoru Gojo, and protect Master Tengen from serious threats.

2. Mission to Save Gojo

Gojo Satoru is trapped inside the Prison Realm

Yuji and his friends not only have to survive in the Culling Game, but they also have the main mission of freeing Gojo Satoru from the magical seal. Gojo is trapped in a prison realm shaped like a small box with many eyes on its surface.

Yuji Itadori, who is considered responsible for the chaos in Shibuya, becomes the execution target of the jujutsu higher-ups. However, Yuta Okkotsu eventually helps Yuji and joins him to save Satoru Gojo from the Prison Realm.

They are also searching for Master Tengen to obtain important information about Kenjaku and how to stop the Culling Game.

3. Rules in the Culling Game: Betting Lives

Master Tengen revealed that Kenjaku plans to merge his consciousness with the entire population of Japan through the Culling Game. The goal is to create a larger and stronger entity, part of his thousand-year plan.

Every sorcerer who activates a cursed technique must announce their intention to join the designated colony within 19 days, or their cursed technique will be erased.

Each participant in the Culling Game will automatically be accompanied by a creature named Kogane. This creature has the task of providing information across Culling Game participants as well as giving information about the points held by the participants.

4. Kenjaku and Tsukumi's Plan

The curse mark on Tsukimi's forehead glows as Kenjaku activates the Culling Game.

The situation becomes increasingly urgent when Tsumiki Fushiguro, Megumi's half-sister, is forcibly made a participant in the Culling Game. Consequently, Megumi is highly motivated to save her, becoming the main driving force for the group to enter the game.

In the Culling Game, a player earns points by killing other participants, and 100 points allows them to add new rules. Megumi is aiming for those points to create a rule that could save Tsumiki.

Tsumiki herself has just woken up from a coma when Kenjaku activates the Culling Game. It remains a mystery what role Tsukimi will play in the game.

5. New Faces in the Culling Game

In this game, Yuji and Megumi encounter various interesting new and old sorcerers. There is Hiromi Higuruma, a lawyer who suddenly becomes a sorcerer, and Hajime Kashimo, a sorcerer from the Heian era who only wants to fight Sukuna.

Intense battles occur in various colonies, forcing the main characters to adapt to the constantly changing rules and extremely strong opponents.

6. Maki Zenin is On Fire

One important development in the Culling Game is the full awakening of Maki Zenin. She reaches her maximum potential after the tragic death of her sister, Mai, who sacrificed herself for her.

Maki then annihilates the entire Zenin clan, demonstrating power on par with the legendary Toji Fushiguro.

7. Sukuna Targets Fushiguro?

Since fighting against Fushiguro, Sukuna has shown interest.

Meanwhile, Sukuna continues to amplify his strength and successfully takes over Megumi Fushiguro's body completely. This happens after Megumi is forced to swallow one of Sukuna's fingers, a moment that is extremely tragic.

Sukuna then kills Tsumiki Fushiguro, whose body had been possessed by the ancient sorcerer Yorozu, deepening Megumi's despair.

This further forces Yuji and his friends to work even harder to defeat Sukuna. They must survive in the Culling Game, find a way to free Gojo, and help Megumi break free from Sukuna's grasp.

8. Gojo VS Sukuna

Nevertheless, the group eventually succeeded in freeing Gojo from the Prison Realm. After being released, Satoru Gojo immediately faced Sukuna in a highly anticipated epic battle.

Although Gojo was close to winning, he was caught off guard, allowing the weakened Sukuna to kill him, while Kenjaku was ultimately confronted by Fumihiko Takaba and beheaded by Yuta.

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 will adapt the arcs "Itadori's Extermination," "Perfect Preparation," and "Culling Game." The anime production is handled by MAPPA studio, with Shota Goshozono as the director.

The third season is scheduled to premiere in January 2026, preceded by the compilation film "Jujutsu Kaisen: Execution" in November 2025 in Japan.
