Tasya Kamila's Husband Suffers from Lymphoma, Often Experiences Fatigue - Shortness of Breath and Coughing Blood

Kapanlagi.com - Tasya Kamila finally spoke up about the beginning of her husband, Randi Bachtiar, being diagnosed with cancer. She revealed that her husband started experiencing symptoms since 2019.

When met at their residence in Cinere, West Java, on Monday afternoon (10/5), Tasya said that Randi Bachtiar, who often trains for marathons, began to feel shortness of breath. She also mentioned that it took half an hour to normalize his condition, and in October 2020, coughing symptoms appeared.

"He often feels shortness of breath at night. We thought it was because of his intense running training. He also feels fatigued, but that's something people commonly feel. The cough lasted for almost three weeks. We also went to an ENT doctor and were given antibiotics until they ran out. The ENT doctor said there were no signs of infection anymore," revealed Tasya Kamila.

1. Coughing up Blood

Tasya and her husband were puzzled because the cough did not heal and was even worsened by the presence of blood. As her condition did not improve, Tasya finally took her husband to see a doctor.

"Randy coughed up blood occasionally. It's not vomiting blood, but there is blood in the phlegm. Finally, the doctor suggested a CT scan and it was revealed that there was a mass in the chest cavity," said Tasya.

"Yes. The mass is quite large, measuring 9.2x5.5 cm with a thickness of 1 cm," added Randi Bachtia.

2. Can Be Cured

Afterwards, Randi Bachtiar underwent a biopsy to determine whether it was a tumor or something else, and finally the surgery was performed, revealing the cause. However, after the operation, there were still residual lymph nodes in Randi Bachtiar's body, requiring further treatment.

"Initially diagnosed with thymoma. It had to be treated with surgery, thoracic surgery, in January (2021). The treatment involves chemotherapy and radiation. The plan is to undergo 25 sessions of radiation. The doctor said this type is curable, so we just have to pray, bismillah," concluded Tasya Kamila.
