The Issue of Moving to Nusakambangan Makes Ammar Zoni Depressed, Feels Murdered

Ammar Zoni's psychological condition is reported to be severely shaken in detention. In addition to facing a heavy indictment trial, the former husband of Irish Bella is also haunted by the discourse of transferring his detention to Nusakambangan. This has caused the mental state of Aditya Zoni's brother to fall or be down.

Dr. Kamelia, who faithfully accompanies Ammar, expressed her concerns about her lover. According to her, Ammar feels unworthy of being placed in such a high-security prison because he sees himself merely as a victim of drug abuse, not a major dealer.

"Of course, it's because he feels like he's not a big criminal, you know. He's just a user, a victim. So it's only natural that he feels it's not proportional if he gets transferred, he feels like 'What is this? Am I going to be killed slowly?' That was how he felt during the interview yesterday. So it's understandable because he feels he's not a big criminal," said Kamelia at the South Jakarta District Court, Monday (2/9/2026).

The fear of being transferred to Nusakambangan greatly affects the mental state of the father of two children. Kamelia recounted the moment when Ammar's younger brother came to visit and delivered the news, Ammar looked very devastated."Of course, definitely. The last time he was visited by his brother, when he heard he was going to be transferred (to Nusakambangan), his mental state really dropped," she explained.

Even Ammar's despair was expressed in heart-wrenching farewell words. He worried that if he was really transferred, he would not be able to meet his closest people again, including Kamelia.

"Yes, for sure, for sure, for sure. Until he also said, 'Maybe if I get transferred later, this is the last time I'll meet you.' He was really down for a bit, that's for sure, as a human, no matter how strong a person is, there will always be a down moment," said Kamelia, mimicking Ammar's words.

On the other hand, Kamelia affirmed her commitment to remain faithful and wait for Ammar until this case is resolved. She felt selfish if she left Ammar when he was down, especially since their relationship was going well at the time of the arrest.

"Yeah, I'm going back again, at the time of the incident we were together. Isn't it selfish if suddenly there's a problem like this and I leave? I would be really selfish then. So let's wait until this is over before thinking about what to do next. I'm just focusing on this for now," he asserted.

Nevertheless, Kamelia does not deny her sadness at having to celebrate special moments alone. She had hoped that this year she could celebrate her birthday and Ramadan with Ammar, but fate had other plans."Yeah, it's sad, because last year I thought we would be together. Wow, tomorrow is my birthday, I could be with him, and Ramadan would be together too. But since this incident happened, well, I have to be patient," she concluded.
