The Judges Are Not Ready, The Reading of Ammar Zoni's Verdict Is Postponed

Kapanlagi.com - The West Jakarta District Court has postponed the trial of the narcotics case involving Ammar Zoni, which was supposed to be held on Tuesday (20/8/2024). This session was scheduled for the reading of the judges' verdict, but had to be canceled because the judges were not ready to deliver their decision.

Ammar Zoni, who attended the trial online from Salemba Prison, Central Jakarta, appeared very ready to hear the verdict. When the trial began, Ammar looked upright and focused, but the atmosphere became more relaxed when one of the judges announced the postponement of the session.

"How is Ammar Zoni doing, are you healthy?" asked the Chief Judge in the courtroom.

"I'm healthy, Your Honor, ready," replied Ammar Zoni.

1. The Hearing Will Continue Next Week

He then added that the hearing will continue on Monday (26/9/2024) with the agenda of reading the verdict. "For today’s hearing, we are not ready," said the Chief Judge

"We will postpone the verdict to Monday, August 26 at 1:00 PM WIB," he continued.

Upon hearing the announcement, Ammar Zoni appeared grateful. He was seen smiling and moving both of his palms towards his face. In that moment, Ammar also expressed that he accepted the decision to postpone the hearing with an open heart.

"I am ready, Your Honor, I accept it," he said with a smile.

2. The Ammar Zoni Case

This drug case is not the first for Ammar Zoni. Previously, he was arrested for the third time by the West Jakarta Metro Police Narcotics Unit on suspicion of possession and abuse of narcotics.

The arrest took place at his apartment in the BSD area, South Tangerang, on December 12, 2023. At that time, the police managed to secure evidence in the form of four packages of meth and one package of marijuana.
