The Mystery of Inara Rusli's Unofficial Marriage, Without Witnesses and No Documentation

In the latest examination at the Metro Jaya Police, the legal representatives revealed shocking facts regarding the marriage process. It turns out that the marriage, which was said to be conducted religiously, has no administrative evidence whatsoever.

Daru Quthny, Inara's lawyer, explained that the marriage was purely based on verbal acknowledgment without any official document support. There is neither a marriage certificate nor any photos documenting the ceremony. This certainly complicates matters due to the lack of physical evidence that can be shown to the authorities.

"The religious marriage has no evidence and no documentation. Because indeed at the time of the marriage, what was stated by Inara and Insan, that was indeed expressed," said Daru Quthny after undergoing examination at the Metro Jaya Police, South Jakarta, Friday (17/4/2026).

In fact, the exact location where the marriage took place does not seem to be clearly remembered by the parties involved. Daru mentioned that his client did not bring any letter as evidence because, in an unofficial marriage, there is no requirement for written administration. This has raised many questions from various parties regarding the validity of the event.

The legal counsel also revealed the fact that the marriage was not attended by witnesses from outside nor by an ustaz who usually leads the ceremony. The statement included in the BAP mentions that the marriage was conducted internally within the family without the involvement of outside parties as official witnesses.

"There were absolutely none. Indeed, there were none. His confession is that it was only an internal religious matter within the family," explained Daru when answering reporters' questions regarding the presence of wedding witnesses.

This issue is becoming more complicated because the reporter, Wardatina Mawa, claims to have strong evidence regarding the existence of the illicit relationship. However, the Inara party maintains the defense that the acknowledged unofficial marriage did not involve any sexual relations. They believe that acknowledging an unofficial marriage does not mean admitting to adultery.

The background of this issue is becoming more convoluted as Inara Rusli is also dealing with an illegal access case at the Indonesian National Police's Criminal Investigation Department. On the other hand, the marital status of Insanul Fahmi and his legal wife, Mawa, is also in the process of divorce in Medan. Inara seems to be caught in the midst of someone else's domestic conflict.

The lack of documentary evidence in this unregistered marriage has led Inara's legal team to prioritize efforts for reconciliation. They want this issue to not drag on and harm their client's reputation, who is trying to rebuild her career after divorcing Virgoun.

Daru emphasized that Inara does not feel worried about the developments in this case because she believes she has not committed adultery as alleged. Inara's side leaves all decisions regarding the relationship between Insanul and Mawa to their own discretion without wanting to interfere further.

The legal process at the Metro Jaya Police is expected to provide certainty soon. If no authentic evidence of sexual intercourse is found, the adultery accusation is believed to be dismissed on its own. Inara can only wait for the results of the case examination to be conducted by the investigators.
