Kapanlagi.com - In addition to being impressed by the storyline of 2ND MIRACLE IN CELL NO. 7, Mahalini also feels proud to lend her voice to the soundtrack of this film. The song titled Mencintaimu that she sings successfully became an emotional part of the film.

"Yes, coincidentally, it was a very last-minute project, so it was done in just 4 days," said Mahalini at XXI Pondok Indah, South Jakarta, Tuesday (30/12/2024).

She revealed that the process of working on this song was quite challenging because it had to be completed in a short time. In fact, she even requested to re-record to achieve a better result.

"Coincidentally, because it was really last minute, I asked to record again, because at that time we used the first version. Then I said, I really like this film, so I want to record first," explained Mahalini.

The recording and completion process of this song took place very quickly. Mahalini stated that everything was done in just four days, including recording, mastering, and adjusting to the film.

"And the whole process of making it was really just 4 days, we went straight to recording, straight to mastering, straight to fitting it into the film, how was that. But I was really sad, then the song entered the film," she said.

1. Proud

Mahalini feels proud to be a part of this film through the soundtrack she performed. Previously, she had imagined what it would be like to fill the soundtrack of this film since watching its first installment.

"So actually it's also a pride for me, for example, the soundtrack of this film. Because at that time I had the chance to watch the first one, I mentioned, like you should try if you could also be the soundtrack for this film, it would still be great, she said. Eh, it came true, right, the second one," she revealed.

2. Conveying the Longing to the Mother

To create the appropriate emotion between the soundtrack and the scenes, Mahalini admitted to recalling many of her personal memories. The loss of her mother became the main inspiration that helped her embody this song.

"So at that time I was more thinking about my mom. Because I hadn't seen this film about the absence of a parent who is no longer beside us," she said.

She also mentioned that her personal experience provided depth of emotion to the song. Mahalini poured her longing for her mother into this song, making the lyrics feel very meaningful to her.

"So at that time during the recording, besides thinking about this film, I was also thinking about what it feels like without a mother, really missing her. So really my memories with my mom are very meaningful. Then finally I poured it into another song," Mahalini concluded.
