The Struggle of Cesen Former JKT48 Graduating S2, Almost Trembled and Fainted During Thesis Defense

Good news comes from the wife of comedian Marshel Widianto, Yansen Indiani, who is better known by the stage name Cesen. The former member of the third generation of JKT48 has just completed her master's degree (S2) and officially holds the title of Master of Applied Tourism.

The process of obtaining this degree was very draining for Cesen, both physically and emotionally, especially on the day of her final project defense. The woman born on June 15, 1999, shared how exhausting it was when she had to defend her work in front of the examining lecturers.

"So, how do I tell this, yesterday was really hectic. So yesterday I had my S2 defense, where I didn't have a thesis but presented a project. I didn't eat all day, and by the time it was really over, I was completely exhausted, trembling, about to faint, and my stomach hurt," said Yansen Indiani when met in the Kapten Tendean area, Mampang, South Jakarta, recently.

The physical issues that Cesen experienced were triggered by an incredible rush of adrenaline and nerves during the hearing process. Fortunately, Marshel Widianto was there to accompany her from the moment she arrived until the entire event was completed.

Cesen admitted that she felt excessively scared after hearing the experiences of her friends who had gone through the hearing before her. She imagined that she would face pressure or a barrage of difficult questions from the examiners in the room.

"Yes, we heard our friends who had their hearings before telling us like, 'Oh, this was difficult, this and that.' Meanwhile, when I had mine yesterday, thank God, it was made easier, not as difficult as that," said the mother of two.

Cesen's choice to pursue a degree in tourism is rooted in her childhood dream, which was once hindered by a career in the entertainment industry. She had planned to enroll in a vocational school for hospitality, but that did not happen due to her busy schedule with JKT48.

Due to her commitments in the idol group, Cesen ultimately chose to attend a regular high school and was only able to pursue her interest in tourism at the postgraduate level. For her, tourism has great business potential, especially when she is traveling to various places.

Cesen also has high hopes for advancing tourism in Indonesia so that it is more evenly distributed to other regions. The final project she is working on focuses on the tourism potential in Eastern Indonesia.

Although he now holds a master's degree, Cesen chose not to accept an offer to become a lecturer at the university. He feels that his soul is more suited to diving directly into the field and engaging in social activities rather than being a pureacademic.
