Who would have thought that the tahu bakso business, which is now one of his sources of income, has actually been started 12 years ago.

Aris recounts the beginning of his journey in the culinary world. The man from Pati, Central Java admits that it all started from his hobby of enjoying tahu bakso.

"If we talk about when it started, that was 12 years ago. It's been quite a while, yes, 12 years ago. There are many stories from that tahu bakso, back then we were just customers, and we loved eating tahu," said Aris Kurniawan during a conversation with KapanLagi.com, Monday (4/8/2025).

From a loyal customer, he then saw a promising business opportunity. Aris felt that the meatballs he usually ate could be developed into a more premium product with better quality to reach a wider market.

"Finally found a place that I feel the tofu is different, the filling is delicious, but if it's filled with better quality, premium, it seems like the market could be wider, right?" he said.

Now, his business is not just 'Dapur Atar', but it has already established a new brand that is very much associated with his image in the entertainment world. This actor proudly introduces 'Tahu Bakso Sang Pendekar' as his new product line.

"If now Tahu Bakso Sang Pendekar. So it's not really a shift, we are trying to break the segment because there was a request from some of our fans from the colossal era, so we created Tahu Bakso Sang Pendekar," explained Aris Kurniawan.

One of the keys to success is continuous innovation. Aris explained that he does not want to get stuck in the same market competition, so he creates various product variants to provide diverse options for consumers.

"We also innovate in making tofu variants. From the basic ones, regular, premium, super premium, super duper premium," he explained.
